What Does a Week of French Classes at École Suisse Look Like?
The content of our French courses is common across all 4 programmes, but adapted to each small group’s level: beginner (A), intermediate (B), and advanced (C), according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
For real interaction and active participation, our classes are organised in small groups by level, with a maximum of 8 students.
Oral practice is strongly encouraged in all lessons and activities. You will learn to interact in French, improve your pronunciation, and expand your vocabulary orally. The result: rapid progress that helps you feel at ease in professional or everyday conversations.

- Strengthening grammatical and lexical skills.
- Individualised support and follow-up.
Afternoon Classes
The afternoons are dedicated to intensive spoken French practice. You will learn how to hold a conversation in French, build confidence, and feel more at ease. It’s also an opportunity to immerse yourself in French culture and discover the everyday life of the French.
- Oral Expression Workshops: improving pronunciation, interactive games, debates on various topics.

Our Students' Testimonials
Heike R.
I attended the Ecole Suisse International in Paris every morning for three months as part of a stay as a "Granny-Aupair," and I am absolutely delighted.
The courses were well-structured, balanced, effective, and very lively!
I found the teaching materials particularly fascinating, as they formed the foundation of each lesson — very up-to-date and solid both methodologically and didactically.
During my time at Ecole Suisse, I filled two large binders, which I still benefit from wonderfully afterwards — I have never found in any textbook such a useful and clearly structured compilation of all relevant learning content, precisely tailored to each level.
But what makes the school truly unique are the people who work there:
The conversations between classes, during lunch, or over a small coffee break gave the feeling of a “temporary family.” Current events, cultural topics, and personal stories were exchanged among the secretaries, teachers, course coordinator, director, and us — learners from all over the world.
The Wednesday afternoon excursions allowed us to discover hidden corners and cultural institutions in Paris that I certainly wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
The excellent quality of the teachers and the instruction, along with the welcoming atmosphere at the Ecole Suisse, made learning and spending time together an unforgettable experience.
I highly recommend this school.
Thank you so much!

I took a French course at the Ecole Suisse Internationale in Paris for 6 weeks in early 2024 and enjoyed every moment of it.
The school is very well organized, the atmosphere is pleasant and personal, and the classes are small.
The teaching was extremely professional and tailored to the level and needs of the group, always including up-to-date and interesting materials.
I made great progress during my stay — the course not only gave me a solid foundation in French but also gave me the desire and confidence to continue learning.
The lunch breaks and coffee breaks, as well as the Wednesday excursions, created a sense of community and made the experience even more enriching.
I can only warmly recommend the Ecole Suisse Internationale!

I loved my experience at the École Suisse. Before enrolling, I had studied French in school, but I wasn’t very comfortable speaking it. After taking classes for 4 weeks, I felt confident in my interactions around Paris — ordering at restaurants, shopping, and chatting about daily life with new acquaintances.
I found the small class format very helpful because I spoke frequently and received feedback from both my instructors and classmates. The course content was enjoyable, and I looked forward to returning each day for the lessons.
One of the aspects of the school I appreciated most was the Wednesday outing, during which an instructor takes us to a new neighborhood and introduces us to a different part of the city. The outing is conducted in French, in a relaxed and social setting, and you get the chance to talk with other students from the school at various levels.
During both the classes and the outings, I had a lot of fun and often laughed at the topics and stories that naturally came up in class. This format was truly a joyful way to learn French.
I hope to have the chance to return to the school in the future. I know it would help advance my French at any level.
