French Lessons in Small Groups According to Your Level

Each group corresponds to a specific level, aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1 to C1). Our small class sizes allow you to learn French more effectively, interact actively in class, improve your spoken French, and receive individualised support in a nurturing environment.
Different Language Programs to Suit Your Pace and Needs
You are free to choose the pace that best fits your schedule. In addition to the small group classes in the morning, we offer the opportunity to enhance your practice with afternoon group or private lessons, as well as a weekly cultural outing. It’s the perfect chance to explore hidden corners of the capital while further improving your French in a different way.
Our French Language Course Options for Adults in Paris
To best meet your needs, we offer 4 French language programs in small classes (4 to 8 students).
All our French programs are available year-round (except for annual closures). Enrollment is possible every week.
What Does a Week of French Language Classes at École Suisse Look Like?
The content of our language courses is common across all 4 programs, but adapted to each small group’s level: beginner (A), intermediate (B), and advanced (C), according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
For real interaction and active participation, our classes are organized in small groups by level, with a maximum of 8 students.
Oral practice is strongly encouraged in all lessons and activities. You will learn to interact in French, improve your pronunciation, and expand your vocabulary orally. The result: rapid progress that helps you feel at ease in professional or everyday conversations.
Morning Classes
The morning classes in small groups allow you to practice all aspects of the French language: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing. You will strengthen your command of the language. Progress at your own pace in a friendly atmosphere, and get to know other students who are learning French just like you.
- Development of Oral and Written Expression and Comprehension Skills
- Strengthening grammatical and lexical skills.
- Individualized support and follow-up.
Afternoon Classes
The afternoons are dedicated to intensive spoken French practice. You will learn how to hold a conversation in French, build confidence, and feel more at ease. It’s also an opportunity to immerse yourself in French culture and discover the everyday life of the French.
- Oral Expression Workshops: improving pronunciation, interactive games, debates on various topics.

Explore Parisian neighbourhoods, visit exhibitions, attend cultural events… A cultural and sightseeing immersion in the heart of the French capital. You’ll experience the city in a different way, learn interesting facts about Parisian life, and build connections with other students.
Combined Program: Group Lessons in the Morning + Private Lessons
A particularly effective option to help you achieve your specific goals. In addition to general courses in the morning group lessons, our teachers provide individual support in private French lessons to assist with your projects:
- Preparation for a DELF certification or specific exam

Our Students' Testimonials
Somrey O.
Attending this school was an incredible experience that gave me so much confidence in actually speaking the language. The atmosphere is so supportive and welcoming, making it easy to embrace mistakes and engage in meaningful conversations. I’ve never had this much fun at a school before!
The teachers actively invite you to join French conversations during breaks and lunch if you’re interested and you can take part in excursions to get a real taste of authentic Parisian life.
Each week offers classes by different teachers focusing primarily on oral communication, which is essential when learning a language. But vocabulary, grammar, listening and reading comprehension as well as engaging games are also part of the curriculum, making the lessons diverse and genuinely engaging. There are no textbooks like in a typical school but instead, you learn the vocabulary and expressions you actually need in everyday situations and beyond.
Further, it’s worth noting how exceptional the teachers were. Each of them brought genuine passion to their work and took a personal interest in every student’s progress. I never felt like just one among many.
What also stood out to me was the strong sense of community among the students, who come from all over the world and represent a wide range of age groups. It’s so enriching to hear their stories and perspectives which adds another layer to the learning experience.
Honestly, I feel like I learned more in two weeks there than during an entire semester of French classes at my German school but in a way that never felt overwhelming. Quite the opposite, actually: the learning process was relaxed, enjoyable, and incredibly effective. (july 2025)

École Suisse was an amazing experience, way better than I could have ever imagined! 10/10. All the teachers and staff are super friendly and they do their best to make you feel welcome. They have a variety of unique, different and fun activities to get you talking, listening, reading, and writing in French. Everything from learning French culture, writing stories, guessing games, fun and relevant listening exercises, team games, riddles, and so much more! They change the teacher every day so that you don't get used to the same teaching style and have practice listening to different French speakers. You learn about how the language or individual words have changed in a relatively short amount of time. They really excel at teaching you French, in French, as well as breaking down complex concepts. The students were also amazing and you get to meet and make friends with people from all over the world.
There are also the optional but free outings every Wednesday where one of the teachers will take you to discover different places in Paris while providing facts or insights you may not have ever known otherwise. From the suburbs to beautiful parks, museums, etc. And afterwards there's a time to enjoy a Café with the group and casually discuss your adventures in Paris.
All of the teachers told me how they saw my French improve significantly, and I can feel it too. I am now more confident in speaking French and have increased my vocabulary as well as improved my grammar. My listening comprehension is better than ever before. I’ve recommended this school to my friends as well. And to everyone at École Suisse, merci beaucoup pour une expérience incroyable!
Another little bonus thing I loved is that they even have complimentary tea and coffee for you to self-serve during the breaks! (may 2025)

This is a high quality program, anchored by talented professors who work very well together as a team. The quality and teamwork commitment mean that you get great instruction by several professors and custom follow up efforts, to help you specifically with your own personally identified learning needs. The team works hard to make the experience fun and engaging. For example: optional weekly excursions to an "off the beaten path" place in Paris, daily optional lunch conversations to connect people as they practice their French, and creative games and communication exercises to get you to practice speaking. Group sizes are purposely kept small, so you get significant time to work on your French. École Suisse Internationale works hard to create a strong sense of community, where your learning needs are at the center of everyone's focus. I was delighted with my experience and highly recommend the program! (may 2025)

This school is perfect! The professors are excellent instructors, with a knack for keeping all learners engaged. The courses are tailored to one's level, which makes the classes appropriate and at times challenging, but in a good way!
The students are eclectic, coming from different countries and are a variety of ages. Regardless of one's background/age, all are valued and supported. (june 2025)
