Our Students' Testimonials
Xanthe
The five weeks I spent in Paris at the École Suisse Internationale were the highlight of my year. Do you remember French classes in high school? Well, the École Suisse is nothing like that! I learned more in five weeks than in all my years of high school, and I didn’t have to memorize dull dialogues or verb conjugations without context. For the first time, I had real conversations about topics that mattered to me. The curriculum is expertly designed to maximize learning. The students are all engaged and eager to learn.
But what truly elevates the classes—what makes them so fantastic—are the teachers. They are dedicated, committed, dynamic, funny, and truly excellent at what they do. They make a real effort to understand what students are trying to say, even when it’s way off, correcting just enough to support learning but not so much as to discourage us. Every day, I left school feeling like I had truly spoken French. I felt independent and ready to try connecting with the people of Paris.
The teachers listen carefully to each student’s goals. I wanted to work on conversational French, while others aimed to pass major written exams or write postgraduate theses. In the afternoons, we could book individual sessions specially tailored to our goals to make sure we were all reaching the level of success we were aiming for.
And then there are the weekly educational outings, which are so much fun. Each week, one of the teachers would take a group of us to discover hidden gems of Paris and nearby towns that we wouldn’t have thought to visit. These outings usually ended in a café where we’d all sit down and chat—in French!
I left the École Suisse feeling like I had made friends and learned a great deal of French. Now, all that’s left is figuring out when I can go back.

I studied French for two weeks in September 2024, at the beginner level. I highly recommend the school to anyone who wants to learn French!
I had studied foreign languages before, including at university in Sweden, but I never felt like I had truly learned to speak — which I definitely did here. The focus is on active language learning, and French is spoken from day one, even at the beginner level, which is excellent for learning.
The group was small, which meant that everyone was constantly involved. I combined group classes in the morning with private lessons in the afternoon, which was a great arrangement.
Compared to other language courses I’ve taken, this one was by far the best. The teachers are highly skilled, dedicated, and helpful, and the atmosphere at the school is very welcoming. I had a wonderful time at the school and would love to go back!

I think the École Suisse Internationale is the best language school in Paris! They have their own textbooks, the grammar materials are very detailed and clear, and the listening and reading materials are interesting and constantly updated (they won’t become outdated as quickly as traditional textbooks).
When it comes to spoken French, the teacher carefully corrects each student’s pronunciation and analyzes sentence structure and vocabulary mistakes after discussions. All homework is also thoroughly reviewed.
The atmosphere at the school is also excellent: free outings are organized every Wednesday, and the teachers introduce students to Paris. During breaks, everyone chats in French in small groups (which I really enjoy too — unless a student has no prior knowledge of French, everyone is expected to speak French at the school, which creates a truly immersive French environment).
The teachers are not only engaging in class, but they also join students’ conversations like friends during the breaks (sometimes even continuing to correct grammar mistakes...).
Because of my experience with other language schools — and my personality — I had always been skeptical of language schools and believed self-study was better. But this school completely changed my mind! Over these three months, my French improved greatly.
Thanks again to all the teachers who helped me! Whether, like me, you need to prepare for the DELF exam, or you simply want to integrate more quickly into French life like some of the other students, I highly recommend studying here.
