A minimum of French is usually required in order to better benefit from your stay in France. Therefore our French language courses tend to start at the A2 level of the Common European Framework.
Nevertheless specific French courses for complete beginners are proposed during the year and a summer program is also dedicated to them. Please refer to the pages dates of this heading for further information.
 Basic level
In this course you will go over the basics of French grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. Regular exercises will enable you to memorize words and useful expressions for everyday life. A systematic review of the fundamental structures will help you to correctly use the ordinary nouns, articles, verbs and their conjugations, as well as the syntax of the most common sentences.
Regular exercises will enable you to remember the words and the useful expressions of the everyday life. A large part of this level’s course is dedicated to oral comprehension and spoken language by using texts, dialogues, various daily situations, etc.
Independent level
These French language courses go over the basic elements of grammar and develop what has been learned at the basic level. The acquisition of the vocabulary is systematized. In grammar, more complex notions are tackled such as the use of tenses modes and pronouns.
At the same time, the language is applied to begin economic and historical aspects of French civilization. In each of the lessons comprehension and speaking skills will be developed alongside writing techniques.
Proficient level
This is a higher level course where you will be offered the choice of a specialization in the following subjects: business French (commercial correspondence, business law, etc.) and professional French (activities linked to the business world) or general knowledge, literature and culture.
